A taste of inner peace

Inner peace is the main cause of happiness. These classes will cover basic methods for cultivating peaceful states of mind, and will help us to reduce and eliminate the states of mind which interfere with our inner peace and daily happiness.
19 August – 23 September (6 classes)

Buddhism for beginners

Basic Buddhist thought and practice for a happy, meaningful life.
30 September – 14 October (3 classes)

The way of loving-kindness

Training in universal love and compassion is a powerful method for improving our relationships with others and fulfilling our potential for lasting happiness.
11 November – 16 December (6 classes)

 

£6 per class (£4 concessions)

The classes begin with a relaxation meditation. Then there will be a talk covering the basics of meditation and Buddhism, emphasising how these can be applied to daily life. Finally there is a second meditation and questions-and-answers. Buddhist books will be on sale for further reading. The classes conclude with light refreshments and an opportunity to get to know people informally.
